Quotes:

“I really wanted to teach and encourage people that as we age, we don’t have to suffer with chronic diseases. That, we can live a long healthy life.”

“Menopause is a normal process that a woman goes through. It’s not something to be feared.”

“Sometimes there’s nothing bad saying hey, you know what, maybe during the week, we got to sleep separately.”

“Your processed foods. Avoid those if you can. At all costs.”

“You can go to a drive through restaurant, you don’t have to get the fried chicken. You can get the grilled chicken nuggets, get a small side salad and then mix those together”

“Pay attention to your hunger cues, pay attention to your body, and you’re not going to need the calories that you needed when you were younger.”

“Pay more attention to what your body is saying like ‘Are you hungry?’ ‘Are you thirsty?’ Giving yourselves permission to slow down. We don’t have to be racing all the time.”

“Pick just one of those things (and do it). Don’t try to do everything all at once. Because sometimes we become overwhelmed. “

“We know most of the time what we need to be doing. But sometimes it’s just difficult and sometimes you do need that person that’s going to be your accountability person”
